In her catalogue text, Cliodhna Shaffrey notes that ‘drawing is not a window on to the world, but a device for understanding our place in the universe”. That captures the spirit of Joanna Kidney’s finely wrought drawings and paintings. In this show, she includes her own ‘cabinet of curiosities’, personal treasures that illuminate her view of the world as an interconnected entity, from the smallest to the largest scales.
